About The Position

Admissions Coordinator Full-Time | Valley View Haven Join a team dedicated to compassionate care and meaningful service at Valley View Retirement Community. We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic professional to coordinate admissions for Valley View Haven while supporting social service assessments and resident interviews. In this role, you will help create a smooth, welcoming transition for residents and their families. Position Summary The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for reviewing and coordinating all admissions, gathering required information, completing preadmission documentation, and communicating with pharmacy and facility staff to ensure an efficient and gentle admission process. This position also assists Social Services with resident interviews, assessments, and related support activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree in Human Services or Social Services required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Valley View

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous long-term care experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate all short-term admission referrals
  • Interview residents, guardians, or sponsors and obtain required documentation and signatures
  • Maintain accurate records of available beds and admission registries
  • Coordinate new admissions for short-term rehab and collaborate on long-term admissions
  • Communicate medical and admission information promptly with nursing leadership
  • Prepare and attach preadmission documentation and forward records for medical coding
  • Verify payer sources and obtain insurance or managed care authorizations
