About The Position

The School of Engineering Medicine in collaboration with Texas A&M College of Engineering, Texas A&M School of Medicine and the state’s top-ranked Houston Methodist Hospital offer an innovative medical school program called ENMED . This program was established to transform healthcare through translational interdisciplinary research, the development of medical technologies, and the development and training of “ Physicianeers .” ENMED delivers a revolutionary blended curriculum with focus on innovation and entrepreneurship where students receive a Doctor of Medicine and Master of Engineering degree in the same four years. The Admissions Coordinator II / Senior Outreach Coordinator works collaboratively with faculty, staff, institutional partners, and external organizations to expand awareness of EnMed’s unique program and strengthen the pipeline of future physicianeers. Salary: W ill be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience . Location: This position is located in Houston, TX in the heart of the Texas Medical Center. Schedule: Full-Time Please Note: Evenings and weekend work required. Extensive travel required both locally and within the continental US at least 50-75% of the time. Apply! Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field
  • 4 years of progressively responsible experience in student services, recruitment, admissions, and/ or enrollment management

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in higher education administration, student affairs, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop recruitment strategies for highly competitive or specialized academic programs.
  • Experience with admissions databases, CRM systems (e.g., AMP, Banner, Slate), and data analysis

Responsibilities

  • Outreach and Recruitment Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract highly qualified applicant pool.
  • Represent EnMed at local, regional, and national recruitment events, including fairs, conferences, and institutional visits.
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, pre-health/engineering advisors, pre-health/engineering organizations, and pipeline programs.
  • Design targeted communication plans, including presentations, publications, and digital content, to promote EnMed’s mission and programs.
  • Organize and coordinate on-campus and virtual recruitment events, including open houses, information sessions, and preview days.
  • Track, analyze, and report on recruitment metrics to assess effectiveness and inform future strategies.
  • Admissions Assist in coordinating the admissions cycle, including application review, candidate communications, interview scheduling, and decision processes.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and admissions committee members to ensure a fair, transparent, and efficient admissions process.
  • Maintain expertise with admissions systems and databases, ensuring accurate and timely processing of applications.
  • Support the development and training of faculty and staff participating in recruitment and admissions activities.
  • Enrollment Management Partner with enrollment leadership to develop enrollment targets and strategies aligned with institutional goals.
  • Monitor enrollment trends and applicant demographics to inform strategic planning.
  • Develop and implement yield initiatives to ensure admitted students are successfully enrolled.
  • Provide advising and support to prospective and admitted students throughout the enrollment process.
  • Contribute to retention-focused initiatives by facilitating a smooth transition from admission to matriculation.
  • Policy and Procedure Development Draft, implement, and update policies and procedures that ensure consistency, compliance, and best practices in recruitment, admissions, and enrollment management.
  • Ensure compliance with Texas A&M University, state, and national accreditation standards.
  • Regularly assess and refine processes to improve efficiency, applicant experience, and program outcomes.
  • Document and communicate policy updates to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Compile data and generate reports.
