About The Position
Responsible for the day to day management and planning of the Hospice Admission Department; directing and developing staff; demonstrating fiscal responsibility; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff; ensure an environment conducive to patient and family centered care. May be alternate to Nurse Supervisor for Hospice.
Requirements
- Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, AD, BSN, MSN)
- 1 year of experience
- Registered Nurse License
- CPR
- Driver's License
- Abilities Ability to carry out obligations and duties of position
- Deals effectively with community/consumer
- Accountable for the regulatory requirements, function and duties of the Hospice Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated advocate of quality and cost effective care
- Understand the physical, psychosocial and spiritual concerns/problems of terminally ill patients and families
- Must be knowledgeable of quality assessment and performance improvement activities
- Compose applicable policies and procedures
- Audit, monitor, and retrieve data
- Coordinate meetings
- Proven written and editing skills
- Strong computer skills
- Requires ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills
