About The Position

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has an opening in the Enrollment Management Department for an Admissions Associate Director. The ideal candidate will be committed to enriching the lives of students and building a strong community of scholars on campus. As an Admissions Associate Director, you will serve as a regional representative and perform outreach and engagement with a designated geographic area (including Chicago, Illinois and surrounding vicinity, Milwaukee, WI and surrounding vicinity; and Gary, IN and surrounding vicinity). You will work with and build strong relationships with prospective students, families, schools, school counselors, alumni, and community-based organizations by planning recruitment activities. You will represent the institution to external markets and ensure representation of institutional strengths is included in presentations and other communications. Additionally, you will join Chicago Area Regional Representative (CARR) and be an active member. Requirements

  • Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree and four to five years of experience in a private institution with college admissions.
  • Strong analytical and project/process management skills are necessary.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
  • Must be able to speak and interact effectively with alumni, students, faculty, staff, and prospective students and their families from many cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • The ability to read and interpret documents like school transcripts and procedure manuals is required.
  • The ability to write routine reports and correspondence is necessary.
  • Knowledge of database, spreadsheet, and word processing (Microsoft Office) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred candidates will have a master’s degree and five years of experience in a private institution with diversity/multicultural affairs or college admissions.
  • Preferred candidates will also have knowledge of engineering.
  • Experience with various types of social media is preferred.
