Position Snapshot Status: PRN / As Needed Pay: $50 per visit Pay Frequency: Weekly Location: Amarillo, TX (Home Health) Schedule: Flexible and nurse-driven Why Nurses Transition Into This Role A change of pace without leaving nursing behind Time to assess, think critically, and educate —not just task-check Autonomy with support , you are trusted, but never alone Predictable pay per visit with weekly payroll Leadership that knows your name and values your experience What You’ll Do Serve as the first clinical point of contact for new patients and families Complete pre-admission assessments, evaluating medical needs, safety, and home environment Determine admission eligibility based on physician orders and regulatory standards Develop and update Plans of Care reflecting patient needs and goals Obtain start-of-care orders and all required intake documentation Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members Provide patient and caregiver education that supports safe, successful care at home Deliver skilled nursing care aligned with BrightStar Care standards and Texas regulations A Role That Protects—and Expands—Your Skills This is not a narrow or repetitive role. Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas
  • Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
  • Strong assessment, organization, and communication skills
  • Comfort working independently with the backing of a supportive local team

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first clinical point of contact for new patients and families
