About The Position

Fairview has an immediate opening for an Admission Financial Representative at the M Health Fairview Wyoming Lakes Specialty Clinic. This position is approved for 48 hours every two weeks, This position requires availability for the following schedule:every Fri 8a-12p at Hugo (location may be changed if call ins), every other Saturday/Sunday North Branch Urgent Care 830a-5p and 3 additional shifts in a 2 week period at one of the 4 locations (Hugo, Chisago, North Branch, Wyoming) This position is responsible for completing the financial clearance process within patient access which includes scheduling and registration activities. Individuals in this role are expected to demonstrate behaviors that create a welcoming environment and deliver an exceptional experience to patients, families and other customers. The Admission Financial Representative (AFR) must be able to articulate information in a manner that ensures patients, guarantors and family members have clear expectations and understand their financial responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • 1 year of applicable computer knowledge and skills

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting with registration experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide scheduling and registration support for patients.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer service experience to patients, families and other customers through consistently demonstrating Fairview behaviors.
  • Manage daily worklists and resolve assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements.

  • Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
  • Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making.
  • Communicates in a respective manner.

  • Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs.
  • Modifies clinical interventions based on population served.
  • Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver.
  • Fulfills all organizational requirements.
  • Completes all required learning relevant to the role.
  • Complies with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards.
  • Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
