About The Position

Fairview has an immediate opening for an Admission Financial Representative at the M Health Fairview at Lakes Medical Center. This casual position is part of the Hospital Registration Department supporting the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Surgery and Diagnostic Imaging check-in. We are looking for a someone who can work a variety of day and evening shifts, including weekends, with coverage across multiple schedules such as 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., and 11:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. In this position you will be responsible for completing the financial clearance process within patient access which includes scheduling and registration activities. Individuals in this role are expected to demonstrate behaviors that create a welcoming environment and deliver an exceptional experience to patients, families and other customers. The Admission Financial Representative (AFR) must be able to articulate information in a manner that ensures patients, guarantors and family members have clear expectations and understand their financial responsibilities at check-in for Surgery and Imaging appoints.

Requirements

1 year of customer service experience
1 year of applicable computer knowledge and skills

Nice To Haves

High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education
Previous experience in a clinical setting with registration experience

Provide scheduling and registration support for patients.
