About The Position

Fairview has an immediate opening for an Admission Financial Representative at the M Health Fairview at the Chisago Clinic. This position is approved for 70.6 hours every two weeks, We believe the schedule will be Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:30 am - 6:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am -5:00 pm Week 2: Monday, Tuesday 8:30 am - 6:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am -5:00 pm This position is responsible for completing the financial clearance process within patient access which includes scheduling and registration activities. Individuals in this role are expected to demonstrate behaviors that create a welcoming environment and deliver an exceptional experience to patients, families and other customers. The Admission Financial Representative (AFR) must be able to articulate information in a manner that ensures patients, guarantors and family members have clear expectations and understand their financial responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • 1 year of applicable computer knowledge and skills

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting with registration experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide scheduling and registration support for patients.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer service experience to patients, families and other customers through consistently demonstrating Fairview behaviors.
  • Manage daily worklists and resolve assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements.

  • Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making.

  • Modifies clinical interventions based on population served.
  • Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver.
  • Fulfills all organizational requirements.
  • Completes all required learning relevant to the role.
  • Complies with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards.
  • Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
