About The Position

The Administrator will be responsible for overall administrative management and operation of the 122-bed facility. Administrator shall manage, direct, and coordinate all activities of the facility as they relate to the physical and psychological well-being of the resident.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform in a high-stress position with full responsibility for the facility operation
  • Ability to handle detailed, complex concepts and problems and to make rapid decisions regarding administrative issues
  • Ability to establish strong and appropriate supervisor relationships
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet various demands of executive management
  • Knowledge of healthcare administration normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a health or business discipline from an accredited program
  • A Current Wisconsin Nursing Home Administration licensure
  • A minimum of three years of experience in health care management with an emphasis on nursing home management necessary to enhance and develop skills

  • Master’s Degree in business or health administration beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Regularly meets with staff to discuss problems and possible solutions, and to discuss suggestions for improved operation
  • Ensures attainment of objectives through the development, motivation and evaluation of staff
  • Manages direct reports
  • Determines the number and level of personnel needed to ensure adequate care to meet the needs of residents
  • Specifies staff accountabilities and evaluates performance
  • Participates with the Executive Team in charting the course the facility is to take in response to developing needs of the community
  • Evaluates the effect of external forces on the institution, recommends plans that support the institution's general objectives
  • Monitors the facility's medical activities through coordination with the Executive Team, the medical and nursing staffs, and enforces policies to assure excellent health care services
  • Assures the sound fiscal operation of the facility including timely, accurate, and comprehensive development of an annual budget and its implementation
  • Maintains corporate compliance with applicable federal, state and local agency rules and regulations including, but not limited to, the areas of quality and safety of nursing home care services, reimbursement, claims submission, wage and hour regulations, waste handling, etc.
  • Manages all business systems, including billing and collections, to maximize reimbursement to the corporation and operating efficiencies
  • Encourages the integration of the facility in the community by using effective communication and public relations skills
  • Performs other duties as assigned
