Responsibilities The Administrator oversees daily operations of the facility to meet State and Federal regulations and supervises all department managers to ensure the facility is in compliance. The Administrator is responsible for the delivery of clinical services integrated with business plans while meeting or exceeding Quality, Clinical and Utilization standards, performance measures, and financial productivity objectives. Ensures premier customer service and facilitates resolutions of resident care issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Active Texas Administrator License
  • Possess effective communication skills to maintain positive relationship with residents, families, staff, physicians, consultants, providers, and governmental agencies, their representatives and the community at large
  • Ability to implement facility and company philosophy of care
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal guidelines and regulations
  • Dependability.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
  • Be a supportive Team Member | Contribute to and be an example of Team work and concept
  • Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other Team Members
  • Demonstrate patience, tact, cheerful disposition, enthusiasm and have the capability and soft skills to handle difficult residents
  • Seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices
  • Relate information concerning a resident’s conditions
  • Not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace
  • Two years in Long Term Care experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance for the facility with all Federal, State and Company regulations and policies
  • Ensures practices and policies are carried out in the highest ethical manner
  • Ensures the highest quality in Standard of Care and services provided
  • Oversees completion of forms, reports, etc. including State Licensure reports, monthly financial reports, Public Health or Department of Labor surveys, plans of correction, responses to corporate requests, replies to residents' council and others as needed
  • Reviews and signs accounting records, incident/accident reports, resident fund reconciliation, and resident funds approval | Provides facility related data/information responsive to company needs
  • Responsible for assuring facility payroll is accurate and complete and appropriate to ensure employees are paid appropriately and ensuring CMS reporting is correct
  • Maintains an "on-call" status for emergency situations
  • Appoints appropriate departmental representatives to the multi-disciplinary committee of the nursing center
  • Designates one in-house management employee responsible for the Center Safety Program
  • Develops facility policies consistent with corporate guidelines
  • Approves postings on the company bulletin board utilizing posting guidelines
  • Provides input to Business Development/Design/Construction staff on adequacy of equipment and supplies, energy and security
  • Provides input on purchasing negotiations for products that involve the facility
  • Maintains confidentiality of necessary information | Thinks and acts calmly and logically to meet unusual occurrences of the job without being thrown off stride
  • Completes any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required
  • Facilitates the appropriate notifications, posting of notices and transfer of residents in the event of facility closure
  • Directs the location of staff to provide high quality daily care which meets/exceeds all internal/external standards within budget parameters, including products, physical plant, and environment.
  • Meet with resident’s family members to address any questions and concerns, assists with resolving issues, and explains related company actions and decisions | Ensures recruitment and retention of quality, professional, compassionate and service excellence minded Team Members
  • Completes daily rounds to assess resident climate and to address complaints or other issues and refers these issues to appropriate department head or other personnel
  • Intervenes as appropriate in potentially threatening situations and follows-up with staff after crisis has been resolved
  • Participates in the development and implementation of the long-term goals and directions of the management company and facility
  • Oversees preparations for licensure certification surveys
  • Scopes renovation needs of the facility and gains appropriate support for renovations
  • Ensure 24 Hour services such as RN coverage compliance, abuse and neglect coordination compliance and other services as required by federal, state, local and other governing agencies
