The College of Arts & Sciences has an outstanding opportunity for an Administrator to support three interdisciplinary research and training centers within the Division of Social Sciences. The Center for Statistics and the Social Sciences (CSSS) advances research at the intersection of statistics and social science, supports graduate and undergraduate instruction in quantitative methods, and provides statistical consulting to the UW community. The Center for Studies in Demography and Ecology (CSDE) is a federally funded population research center with more than 75 years of history supporting demographic research and training across disciplines, including administration of major NIH-funded center and training grants. The Center for Social Science Computation and Research (CSSCR) provides computing infrastructure, data services, and consulting support for social science research and instruction across the University. The Administrator oversees the day-to-day administrative, financial, and operational functions of CSSS, CSDE, and CSSCR. This leadership role is responsible for managing approximately $6.7 million in annual revenue, supervising 4.5 FTE (five staff members), and coordinating complex activities across research, instruction, grants management, and service operations. The Administrator serves as a strategic partner to Center Directors, faculty leaders, and campus stakeholders, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with university and sponsor requirements, and alignment with each center’s academic and research mission.
