Requirements

  • Bachelors degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience.
  • 1+ years' experience in fleet services administration.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of state, local and Federal codes and regulations as they relate to titling/licensing preferred.
  • Knowledge of state and federal DOT regulations including driver qualifications preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience in basic automotive truck repair preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of the operating costs of fleet vehicles.
  • Proficient with computers and various software packages utilized within TDS
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail; strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and work with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to make decisions independently.
  • Able to identify business process improvement opportunities and formulate potential solutions.
  • Organized, self-motivated, detail orientated, analytical, able to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the core fleet functions. Vehicle purchases, upfitting, the titling and registration for all TDS vehicles. Maintain knowledge of Federal and State requirements for title and registration filings, taxation and DOT requirements.
  • Responsible for completeness and accuracy of title and registration applications, manufacturer statements of origin, bills of sale, power of attorney docs, inspections for safety/emissions/VIN, insurance cards, fuel cards, etc. Ensure compliance with TDS audit/accounting policies. Responsible for the coordination of annual Driver Personal Mileage Surveys, DOT audits, title audits, integration of acquisitions, etc.
  • Review contracted maintenance repair work to ensure conformance to contract specifications and quality workmanship; provide first-line vendor negotiations to maximize cost effectiveness of the fleet operation, approve repairs and resolve problems. Responsible to resolve daily issues related specifically to fleet reporting, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Administrate various fleet processes including oversight of Administration and Executive vehicles. Recommend and coordinate the adding, and reassigning of vehicles, trailers and equipment. Also adminster the vehicle and equipment disposal process, including determine the price of vehicles offered to associates according to policy, the fuel card program and allpaperwork associated with these tasks. Maintain, and where needed, create documentation of essential job functions.
