About The Position

The Endpoint Solutions Administrator is responsible for implementing and administering the organization’s endpoint management and experience solutions, ensuring endpoints have the configurations and software necessary for business operations. The administrator will ensure comprehensive and consistent administration of managed endpoints, throughout their lifecycle, in alignment with organizational security controls. In addition, this role will administer client operating systems, Tier-2 directory and policy objects, and servers as necessary to support endpoint administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing and administering endpoint management solutions, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing and administering Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions, Citrix VDI administration preferred.
  • Experience administering client operating systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows and macOS.
  • Experience administering enterprise domain services objects for endpoints.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Certified Endpoint Administrator, or similar relevant certification, preferred.
  • Citrix Certified Virtualization Associate, or similar relevant certification, preferred.
  • Jamf Certified Tech, or similar relevant certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and govern Endpoint Lifecycle Management (ELM) practices to ensure efficient and comprehensive monitoring and management of client endpoints throughout their lifecycle.
  • Implement and administer endpoint management solutions, aligned with ELM practices and organizational security controls, to centrally manage and secure client endpoints.
  • Create, maintain, and apply endpoint configuration profiles to ensure consistent and standardized configurations that comply with organizational security controls.
  • Design, build, and maintain deployment and updating processes for client endpoint operating systems and software.
  • Maintain managed software catalogs to ensure users have self-service access to trusted, vetted, and up to date software.
  • Streamline ELM processes through integration, automation, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Design and administer the server OS and application components of the organization’s ELM and assigned 3rd party software solutions.
  • Administer client operating systems.
  • Research and implement new or unused client operating system features.
  • Administer Tier-2 directory and policy objects in alignment with security and configuration standards for enterprise domain services.
  • Implement and administer Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions, ensuring their availability, reliability, and secure operation.
  • Manage virtual desktop images, templates, and pools.
  • Align virtual desktop offerings with the business and instructional needs of the organization.
  • Monitor and continuously improve the performance, stability, security, and usability of VDI solutions.
  • Design and administer the server infrastructure and server OS components of the organization’s VDI solutions.
  • Participate in the department's Vulnerability Management program to regularly identify, assess, prioritize, and remediate security weaknesses across infrastructure, systems, and endpoints in collaboration with IT and business stakeholders.
  • Maintain a roadmap of prioritized projects and a portfolio of active projects using the department’s process for managing projects.
  • Enable telemetry of log, event, and behavioral data by integrating endpoints with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
  • Provide escalated support for responsible systems and processes.
  • Establish and manage the access, processes, and documentation needed to enable pre-escalation support, and collaborate with pre-escalation support teams on additional support opportunities.
  • Maintain documentation for processes, standards, and configurations to ensure consistency and continuity in operations.
  • Stay up to date on relevant technology changes, recommend and implement new features in accordance with change management controls.
