This position will report to the Director, Compliance & Risk Management (“Director”), and the primary responsibilities for this position include the administration of claims and compliance activities for the overall business. Requirements

  • 1-2 years of compliance (DOT), risk management, claims management or contract administration experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Understanding of general accounting practices preferred
  • BA or BS degree (preferred but not required) in business, logistics, legal, and/or related field.
  • Experience working in a fast, high growth culture

  • Strong track record of success and accomplishment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite

Responsibilities

  • Claims Management
  • As designated by the Director, this position is responsible for claims administration for operational lines of coverage to include General Liability, Cargo, Contingent Cargo, Physical Damage, and Bonds.
  • Interfaces with carriers, customers, vendors, insurance representatives and internal teams to obtain the facts, explain the claims process to set the expectations for each party to ensure full recovery of losses.
  • Reconciles financial transactions between all external parties to ensure accurate claims cost and reporting.
  • Assists Sr. Administrator (Claims) to reconcile the “prepaid claims” GL account each month.
  • Responsible for the creation, validation and issuance of weekly Claims Reports.
  • Compliance
  • Supports the Sr. Administrator (Compliance) through the administration of management controls designed to ensure compliance with the USPS – CLEAR Highway Terms & Conditions.
  • Conducting sub-contract carrier on-board calls, collection, review, verification and ensuring correction of all USPS facility clearance documents before final submission to facilities and continuously manages all necessary facility access credentials.
  • Issues USPS semi-annual Carrier subcontract audit results or other reports as requested.
  • General Responsibilities
  • Generates COIs, and issues “Gap” Insurance Policies (additional insurance) as required.
  • Participates as a member in the Enterprise Safety Council
  • Develops and revises SOP’s applicable to all areas of responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director
