An Administrative Technician provides administrative support to Managers, Foremen, Supervisors, represented employees and Union officials. Must be able to maintain manual and electronic files, perform general office support functions, answer phones, take messages, distribute mail, input data electronically, fax/photocopy and perform records retention assignments. Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with distractions, have the ability to multi-task and possess good people skills. Our clinic currently processes a general average of 80-120 +/- patients per day. Visits to the clinic are primarily on a walk-in basis with the Administrative Technician needing to possess strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills. The ideal candidate will be flexible, efficient and professional. Current schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (subject to change based on departmental need and seniority). Operating under the BIW Business Operating System (BOS), the Administrative Technician ensures compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards while coordinating with other key stakeholders to meet overall milestones. This position is within the Occupational Health team.
