About The Position

Are you looking to work in a school-based, fast-paced working environment? Do you enjoy completing clerical tasks and using your administrative skills? If you answered YES, then consider joining our team as Administrative Support at our Devereux CARES School located in Downingtown, PA. Everyday as Administrative Support you will: Provide a variety of administrative support functions for the daily operation of the Devereux CARES school. Answer phones, respond to inquiries and forwards messages to the appropriate individuals in a timely fashion. Receive, print, and distribute written communications to the appropriate individuals in a timely fashion. Schedule meetings and serves as the liaison for all involved parties to include team meetings and progress reviews. Maintain office supplies; order, receive and distribute program purchases. Maintain compliance with all training/learning requirements and takes initiative in seeking opportunities for professional growth. Devereux Center for Autism Research and Education Services (CARES) is an educational program licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that provides services to students, ages 5 to 21, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. CARES provides an environment that focuses on teaching each student based on his or her unique strengths and needs. Programming is focused on increasing independence for each stude#nt.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience working in a clerical/secretarial position in front office preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of word processing software applications and office practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred AA Degree in related field.

Responsibilities

Benefits

  • Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (52 week year round position)
  • Pay-rate: $17.75 - $20.24 (based upon experience)
