About The Position

Department: 60934 Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Lab: Support Services Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 8:00-5:00- 1 hour lunch Pay Range $19.45 - $29.20 Position Highlights Full-Time, Days, 1st shift, 8:00-5:00 with 1-hour lunch Winston Salem Education/Experience/Certifications to Qualify : High school diploma or GED equivalent. Office or clerical experience preferred. How You’ll Impact Patient Care : Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Answers telephone to take messages, redirect calls, or schedule appointments according to department/program/clinic procedures. Concerns are referred to direct supervisor. Receives patients, families, visitors, staff, etc. Copies, files, and maintains paper or electronic documents and records. Ensures files and records remain updated and are easily accessible. Sorts and distributes incoming mail, records, and other materials. Prepares outgoing mail (envelopes, packages, etc.). Responds to routine inquiries. Gathers necessary materials for direct supervisor's response in answering mail. Uses office equipment such as copier, printers, fax, etc. and computers for word processing, spreadsheet creation etc. Performs basic computer inputs and searches. Compiles reports from existing records. Assists in office management and organization procedures. Demonstrates cultural, societal and age-specific awareness. Realizes and responds appropriately to the cultural and societal diversity of patients, family members, visitors and staff. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Skills/Qualifications : Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to prioritize responsibilities. Familiar with office equipment and procedures. Very good organizational and multi-tasking abilities. Computer experience with very good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
