About The Position

The Office of the Attorney General ("OAG") is the Chief Law Officer in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is dedicated to preventing child abuse and keeping Kentucky's children safe. The OAG is looking for a motivated individual who is comfortable overseeing important projects and working both collaboratively and independently. This position would either be based out of our Kenton County (Covington) field office or our main office in Franklin County (Frankfort). OAG offers hybrid telecommuting schedules to eligible employees. The position would primarily serve two distinct functions in the OAG coordinating efforts of: the Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention Board the Attorney General's statewide law enforcement peer support project. The position would ideally be filled by an individual driven through meaningful and mission-driven work. This position would assist on projects that aim to reduce and prevent child physical and sexual abuse in Kentucky and support law enforcement mental health and wellness. The position would also include supporting other OAG functions, like providing administrative assistance to the Multidisciplinary Commission on Child Sexual Abuse. The ideal candidate is committed to moving Kentucky forward in protecting Kentucky's children.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
  • Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
  • Experience managing important projects and program data
  • Ability to work both with team members and independently
  • Organized and conscientious
  • Proficiency working on web-based programs and applications
  • Knowledge of child protection and abuse prevention work.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating meetings and communication between the OAG and Board members.
  • Drafting meeting agenda and minutes
  • Reviewing child abuse prevention programming grant funding applications and monitoring grant awards
  • Developing and distributing promotional materials for law enforcement peer support team funding opportunities
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliances with subawards
  • Coordinating with web developer to build and manage digital wellness platforms
  • Tracking and compiling data for grant reporting
