Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all administrative and technical licensing functions for numerous schools across the state.
  • Sends, receives, and processes all student enrollments, student monthly hour submissions, and student graduations across the state.
  • Audits, maintains, and implements the reissuance of expired hours for all student re-enrollments, as well as posts complex and technical correspondence.
  • Responds to emails, phone calls, and drop-in constituents.
  • Communicates with the public and licensees.
  • Compiles, updates, and maintains computer databases for student and licensee holders.
  • Updates discrepancies in licensure system as needed.
  • Trains and assists licensed school owners and instructors on usage of the online database.
  • Coordinates, audits, and maintains license renewals and return to licensees for corrections of discrepancies.
  • Conducts scheduled and unscheduled audits of cosmetology, esthetics, and nail tech schools to ensure compliance with state laws, regulations, and board policies.
  • Process, maintain, and verify daily payment report for enrollment corrections or associated fee and submit to fiscal officer for deposit.
  • Provides technical assistance and guidance to schools on compliance issues and corrective measures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
