Administrative Specialist I-Sampson Correctional

About The Position

Sampson Correctional Institution is located in Clinton, North Carolina and houses up to 462 male offenders in a medium and minimum custody facility. Reporting to the Nurse Supervisor I, this position will have daily contact with offenders and will work in the nursing department. Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Requirements

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated experience with various types of office equipment
Demonstrated experience compiling, preparing, distributing, and filing reports
Demonstrated experience maintaining a filing system

Responsibilities

Performing typing, filing, appointment scheduling, telephone duties
Ensuring supplies are ordered and maintained on a timely basis
Auditing Outpatient Charts prior to transfer for completion
Preparing Statistical Reports and reviewing Medical Records for completeness
Reviewing and maintaining Medical Records on site in a confidential manner
Performing clerical functions in compliance with the requirements of the Health Care Procedures Manual.
Ensuring all Records are initiated, processed, and transferred in a correct and timely manner.
