This is a federally funded time-limited (FFTL) position. This means it is a position that is paid entirely as the result of a federal grant. The duration of employment shall not exceed the life of the federal grant that funds the position. An employee appointed to an FFTL position is required to meet the minimum requirements for the classification. Further, an employee appointed to an FFTL position is designated as an unclassified (non-merit) employee. An FFTL employee is eligible to receive benefits at the same level as a classified (merit) employee in a permanent position. EEC provides opportunities for development and upward movement. Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One year of professional, administrative, or business experience.
  • Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, compiles, and/or prepares operational records and reports for compliance with federal, state, and agency reporting requirements.
  • Works with project managers to assist with contacting project representatives by phone, in writing, or in person to resolve inconsistencies or inaccuracies in records and/or reports.
  • Interprets and applies state and EEC policies and procedures within the OEP. Preparing/drafting correspondence or other responses for administrators, legislators, attorneys, clients, and/or the public.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements, reimbursement requests, and conference registrations.
  • Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual newsletterseports and develops marketing and communications materials including updates and maintenance to webpages. Assist with project summaries and success stories.
  • Assists with KECC, conference planning, agenda development, speaker organization, and registration.
  • Coordinates and tracks constituent requests and responses.
