Requirements

  • Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 0 to 18 months of related experience, preferably in a large mailroom or building services environment.
  • Basic knowledge of mailroom operations, shipping/receiving procedures, and postal regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet delivery schedules.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as postage meters, copiers, and scanners.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with internal staff and external vendors.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email and inventory tracking systems.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license, serviceable automobile, and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and packages; collects and processes outgoing mail in accordance with postal regulations.
  • Assists with mass mailings and fulfillment requests, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Delivers materials such as mail, supplies, and files between company facilities, off-site storage, and other designated locations.
  • Supports shipping and receiving functions by verifying deliveries, routing materials, and maintaining inventory of stock items.
  • Maintains accurate records of mailroom activities and delivery logs.
  • Ensures a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with departmental standards.
  • Order meals and supplies for the employee lunch program, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Support the Board of Directors and the executive committee with requested food and beverage services for meetings and events.
  • Assists with special projects and other duties as assigned by management
