Administrative Services Officers function as business managers for a large division or major program area or facility, with responsibility for accounting, budgeting and business management of various services and operations. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. The Division of Public and Behavioral Health Fiscal Unit is recruiting for an Administrative Services Officer 1 (ASO 1), located in Carson City. Under the direction of the Administrative Services Officer 3, the incumbent is responsible for fiscal review and oversight of budgets, including, but not limited to, budget preparation and execution; preparation of annual spending plans; federal and state reporting; review and audit documents; forecasting of revenues and expenditures; review of sub-grants and contracts; and preparation of work programs. The incumbent will act as a liaison between fiscal and program staff, other state agencies, and, upon request, the Budget Office and or Legislative Counsel Bureau staff. The ASO 1 will ensure timely services, meeting deadlines with severe time constraints, and following up as required.
