About The Position

This position is for a Patient Service Representative working day shifts in an outpatient clinic environment with four 10-hour shifts per week. The schedule includes weekday shifts from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM and weekend shifts from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with staff working every other weekend. The representative serves as the primary point of contact for patients both in person and over the phone, supporting daily clinic operations and patient access to care. The role focuses on ensuring a smooth patient experience through efficient scheduling, registration, and communication. Responsibilities include assisting patients with questions, coordinating appointments, and supporting front office administrative processes. The position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
  • Demonstrate familiarity with medical insurance processes, referral procedures, and patient benefit plans
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to understand and respond to detailed written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with patients, providers, and healthcare staff

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working as a Patient Service Representative
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with electronic health record systems such as CS-Link or EPIC
