About The Position

The Administrative Operations Manager is a critical leadership position within the Canton Parts Distribution Center (PDC), driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This role oversees centralized administrative operations with a focus on receiving and shipping, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. Reporting to the PDC Manager, this position aligns administrative tasks with operational goals, fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and collaborates across functions to resolve complex challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WMS systems, inventory management, and team leadership, with a passion for process optimization and cross-functional collaboration. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in quality assurance, inventory management, or clerical operations within a distribution or logistics environment.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong knowledge of WMS systems (e.g., EWM, DView), ERP systems (e.g., SAP ECC or S/4 HANA), and inventory management practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and manage cross-functional collaboration.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Advanced certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO Auditor).
  • Extensive experience with complex WMS platforms.
  • Proven success in implementing large-scale process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex customer or inventory challenges.
  • Strong background in data analysis and decision-making through advanced KPIs.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in a multi-site logistics environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise centralized office functions, including clerical operations for DView and SAP’s Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
  • Ensure alignment of administrative tasks with operational goals and timelines.
  • Manage non-production material procurement and inventory.
  • Serve as Business Systems Owner for EWM.
  • Provide direct supervision to 6-member office team responsible for receiving and shipping.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
  • Collaborate with Material Planning, Procurement, IT, and external suppliers to resolve delivery exceptions and ensure sustained countermeasures.
  • Serve as EWM subject matter expert for IT projects and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate inter-department processes with receiving and shipping dock teams.
  • Leverage data and KPIs to identify trends, drive efficiency, and enhance team performance.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for administrative operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align quality and clerical workflows with facility objectives.
