About The Position

Medical Director - Up to 16 hours per week, Administrative duties only (50% remote, 50% on site.  Tuesdays and Wednesdays preferred, can be flexible) What You Will Do to Change Lives As a medical director you will work collaboratively with the team to deliver on the following areas; Leadership & Strategy: Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission, goals, and objectives. Medical Oversight: Supervise and support clinical teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. Operational Management: Collaborate with leaders to improve operational efficiency and implement new policies. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, and spearhead quality improvement initiatives. Provider Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to promote collaboration and engagement. Performance Metrics: Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve organizational goals and optimize outcomes. It serves adults who have a history of serious and persistent mental illness with repeated hospitalizations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years medical leadership experience
  • A minimum of 2 years clinical experience in the treatment of adults with serious mental illness, including those with comorbid medical and/or substance use disorders
  • A medical degree from a medical school accredited by the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association and successful completion of residency training program in psychiatry
  • An active California Medical License, in good standing
  • An active California DEA license
