Requirements
- Exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette
- Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills
- Medical Assistant, Front Desk and Referral experience
- Familiarity with patient management and clinical software systems (eClinicalWorks)
- Detailed organizational skills
- Experience working in a collaborative environment
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word/Excel/SharePoint/PowerPoint)
- Ability to connect with patients and make them feel comfortable
- Patience and presence of mind
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- May require prolonged period of standing, walking and bending
- Ability to move/lift up to 20 pounds at time
- Must be able to move/assist with moving patients
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous/professional manner.
- Answer telephone promptly and direct calls accordingly.
- Maintenance and routing of electronic patient documents.
- Fulfillment of Medical Records requests.
- Outbound patient calls, quality metrics, patient satisfaction, hospital follow-ups, monthly patient check-ins.
- Assist with referrals and prior authorizations.
- Medical Assistant Float - rooming patients, vitals, chart prep, injections
- Front Office Float - Check In/Out, Insurance Verification.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
