About The Position

Under the direction of the ObGyn Chief Administrative Officer and the ObGyn Division Director, the ASOG Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the Division of Academic Specialists in ObGyn clinics which supports the practices of 27 faculty members, 14 APPs and 16 Certified Nurse Midwives. The ASOG Operations Manager is responsible for leading the division in coordination with the Division Director, monitoring and maintaining operational processes and fostering the delivery of superior customer service. The successful applicant will be responsible for standardizing clinical care across the various clinic locations, coordinating clinical care and patient education with the division's nurse council, collating and reporting monthly benchmarking metrics. The successful applicant is held accountable for meeting local and organizational goals that strive for optimal work processes and the highest quality of patient care. The ASOG Operations Manager collaborates with physicians on issues related to the management of patient care and interacts with clinic managers regularly to promote consistency, high quality and effective care. Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years Health Care Operations supervisory experience required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare operational practices and techniques.
  • Experience in process and quality improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) or more years of Health Care Operations supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous management experience in the past 10 years is strongly preferred.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees
  • Identifies workflow needs, contributes to the development of strategic and operational solutions, allocates resources, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures
  • Plans, implements, executes, and evaluates existing strategies and objectives for a program and makes recommendations to unit leadership for program or function enhancement
  • Contributes to the preparation of proposals for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors
  • May assist in the development and monitoring of the unit or program budget and approve unit expenditures
  • Leads the development and preparation of periodic reports and financial statements, and records progress, status, or other special reports for leadership or external agencies
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for program activities across multiple work units to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, and specifications
