About The Position

The Administrative Manager in the General Engineering program reports to the Director of General Engineering and provides professional, executive-level administrative and operational support for the program. The manager will plan and execute administrative and operational systems, supervise staff, manage budget, and ensure program compliance with university-wide policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related area
  • 3+ years experience in a highly matrixed, highly active, academic program or department
  • experience developing new policies and processes, overseeing the effective, efficient execution of administrative functions utilizing complex systems
  • experience in a student services function, using databases to manage information, managing budgets and staff, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High degree of initiative.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to set priorities and to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; excellent listening skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and knowledge of customer/student services best practices.
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight, to execute tasks in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
  • MS Office proficiency.
