About The Position

This position provides high-level administrative and executive support for County Administration, including the County Manager’s Office, Finance, and Human Resources. The role requires independent judgment, discretion, and professionalism in managing complex schedules, preparing executive-level communications, and supporting strategic initiatives. This position serves as a key liaison between executive leadership, elected officials, staff, and the public. Reports to the County Manager. Starting salary based on education and experience.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of modern office principles and practices.

  • Skill in the provision of customer services.
  • Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions.

  • Working knowledge of the fundamental principles of the position, generally acquired through a bachelor’s degree or two to three years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process a broad range of sensitive information and documentation in support of the County Manager’s office, and the Finance and Human Resources departments.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact by screening and prioritizing calls, correspondence, and electronic communications, ensuring timely and appropriate responses and follow-up actions.
  • Prepare and reconcile administrative documentation, including purchase card statements, purchase orders and related reporting.
  • Oversee executive travel logistics, including preparation of itineraries and processing travel reimbursements in compliance with policies.
  • Draft, review, and finalize professional correspondence, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with organizational standards and branding.
  • Provide high-level administrative and operational support for special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
  • Design and produce executive-level presentations, translating concepts and data into clear, visually compelling formats.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and hosted events, including preparation of materials, arranging catering, managing logistics, and preparing meeting spaces.
  • Oversee office supply inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and executing procurement in alignment with operational needs and budget guidelines.
  • Maintain and manage organizational records and filing systems, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with established policies.
  • Serve as a professional ambassador for the departments by welcoming visitors, providing information, and delivering a high standard of service and support to County staff, elected officials, and visitors.
