As an Administrative Coordinator in the Department of Medicine, specifically the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Care Medicine, you’ll be at the heart of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering world-class care. You’ll work closely with the Division Chiefs, Program Directors, Administrative Directors, and Administrative Coordinators, to support departmental and division operations, coordinate activities with the Graduate Medical Education Office, and ensure seamless communication across stakeholders. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative experience.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hospital-based GME program preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Care Medicine leadership.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Program Director (or designee) and the NYP Queens Graduate Medical Education Office.
  • Serve as fellowship program coordinator for the Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship, supporting onboarding, credentialing, and administrative needs for the fellowship program.
  • Organize and manage all logistics for Goals of Care Communication (GOComm) training program, an NYP enterprise-wide educational project.
  • Coordinate divisional and departmental activities to ensure smooth operations and quality patient care.
  • Support internal and external communications, scheduling, and documentation needs.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional environment that reflects our values and mission.
