About The Position

With direction from the Office Manager, the position manages the administrative functions for production cost analysis, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and HR monthly financial statements. Position also will work closely with the site HR Manager. What you'll be doing: Responsible for the timely and accurate coordination of the hourly payroll processing; including entering employee job and wage changes into HRIS system. First point of contact for employees regarding payroll and benefits. Coordinates hiring of hourly employees; working with Talent Acquisition, Plant Leadership, and Employment Agencies. Coordinates all new hire orientations, including Safety Training, benefits programs, policy overview, and all other orientation items. Tracks and informs supervisors of performance review dates. Work directly with Plant Human Resource support on implementing and overseeing the effective practice of HR policy, procedures, and processes; collaborate with regional HR and/or corporate HR resources on background investigations, recruiting and performance management activities. Strong interpersonal skills are needed to communicate, educate and provide support to employees Responsible for maintaining plant personnel records in an organized and systematic manner. Assists Office Manager with assigned administrative tasks such as report generation and disposition, mailing, filing, work processing, etc. Serves as primary backup to Office Manager in their absence. Formats, types, and edits a variety of correspondence: including memos, reports, and confidential material; drafts routine correspondence for manager’s approval. Receives and screens telephone calls and visitors, schedules appointments and meetings, and resolves problems requiring knowledge of department policies and procedures. Carries out special projects and assignments as requested; compiles, analyzes, and prepares data for reports and presentations. Assist Office Manager with office operations by performing clerical functions such as ordering meals, ordering office supplies, and coordinating company functions/meetings. Instrumental involvement in Process Improvement Program; team member of the Employee Experience pillar including leading the Employee Satisfaction sub pillar team; as well as tracking and maintenance of Element Trees. Support the plant’s deployment of the Sonoco Performance System (SPS) by contributing to Pillar Team(s) and administrative tracking. Other job duties as assigned. This position is located in Neenah, WI.
