About The Position

Administrative Coordinator – Reilly Center The John J. Reilly Center at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for an Administrative Coordinator to support its dynamic, interdisciplinary programs at the intersection of the humanities, social sciences, and medicine. This role is ideal for a highly organized, collaborative professional who enjoys working with students, faculty, and external partners to build meaningful academic experiences and programs that address complex human questions in health and society. Position Overview The Administrative Coordinator plays a central role in managing student services, academic operations, and signature events across multiple Reilly Center programs. This position supports Health, Humanities, and Society (HHS), Science, Technology, and Society (STS), the Engineering Dual-Degree program, and additional interdisciplinary initiatives, ensuring smooth coordination and an exceptional experience for students and faculty alike.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in the areas listed below:
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including experience managing student records, enrollment processes, and events
  • Ability to work creatively and collaboratively with students, faculty, and external partners, including members of the medical community
  • Demonstrated ability to connect students with appropriate advisors and mentors within interdisciplinary programs
  • Experience coordinating events, visiting speakers, or academic programming
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Responsibilities

  • Manage student enrollment, course cross-listings, and graduation audits
  • Collaborate closely with Arts & Letters pre-health, science pre-professional advising, and other campus partners
  • Plan and execute program events and initiatives
  • Coordinate the annual HHS Writer-in-Residence program
  • Organize and lead logistics for a policy-focused trip to Washington, DC
  • Administer enrollment and academic progress for dual-degree students
  • Coordinate courses of study and advising support
  • Implement enrichment activities and mentoring opportunities funded by the Hogan gift
  • Provide administrative support for GLOBES, EHUM, and related programs
  • Manage student services, cross-listings, and program events
  • Offer flexible administrative support across Reilly Center initiatives as needed
