About The Position

Responsible for supporting Production in the area of Safety and Quality at Lincoln, Talladega & On-Site at HMA. Perform process audits to help make sure that NSE is following both internal and customer requirements. Support tracking, reporting, and analysis of Safety and Quality data.

Requirements

  • Computer skills: proficiency in Excel (formulas/pivot tables) Power Point, Word, Access, etc..
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Various types of PIVs and equipment
  • GED or high school diploma
  • Able to lead project teams and present information to management
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able and willing to work any shift, hours, holidays, weekends or overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support business plan goals; develop and monitor tasks to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Solve problems and resolve issues and concerns that impact operational performance
  • Ensure consistent and professional communication with our customer and associates at all times.
  • Manage projects and provide guidance when needed.
  • Communicate effectively to peers and SQA.
  • Ensure all safety related programs and policies are updated and being followed.
  • Maintain up to date training requirements for training of PIV’s and other OSHA requirements as necessary.
  • Issue permits and training where necessary
  • Ensure all safety related training is completed according to the NSE OSHA Calendar.
  • Complete weekly and/or monthly inspections to include one inspection of each department as required.
  • Filing and data entry
  • Communicate and enforce all NSE Safety/OSHA policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and enforce safety policies
  • Participate in and administer disciplinary actions if necessary
  • Interview candidates and/or associates for related safety activities
