Under the direction of the Director, Nursing Administration, proactively coordinates patient care activities and ensures the nursing process is carried out on all shifts (24/7) by demonstrating professional and clinical leadership. Promotes and maintains quality patient care through effective management of the activities of the Hospital. In the absence of regular nursing and unit leadership, is responsible for the coordination of patient care in the facility as well as exercises authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator On Call Located in Largo in the heart of Prince George's County, our new state-of-the-art regional medical center (UM Capital Region Medical Center) will provide improved access to primary and ambulatory care services, and serve as a tertiary care center for critically ill patients. In addition, our new space will allow us to expand our offerings as a community partner to help improve the health status of Prince George's County residents.
