About The Position

The Administrative Coordinator of Residential Life manages the daily operations for the Office of Residential Life by providing assistance to all professional staff, student residential life staff, and students living in residence. The Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for the office in person, by phone, and through email and both addresses issues that arise and refers matters to the appropriate personnel. The Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the currency and accuracy of data in multiple software systems. Requirements

  • High school graduate, or equivalent, required
  • Minimum three years relevant office experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and with limited direction
  • Professional judgment and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with students and their parents, faculty, and staff within all areas of the College
  • Intercultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations
  • Strong computer and data management skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily office functions including: providing assistance to students, responding to phone and email communication, preparing correspondence, maintain filing systems, and ordering office supplies
  • Manage the office budget including reimbursements, check requests, and credit card receipts submitted by professional and student staff
  • Serve as a primary point of contact with the Department of Facilities Management in responding to residence hall, apartment, and house work orders and maintenance concerns
  • Work with the director and associate director on the creation, updating, and administration of residential life policies and procedures
  • Create all student IDs, manage the student access profiles, including residence hall access, and work with students and Information Technology to troubleshoot issues
  • Administer student meal plan changes as needed through student databases
  • Provide administrative assistance using computer programs such as MS Office Suite and Google productivity products such as Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc.
  • Plan and coordinate activities and events for student staff throughout the year
  • Manage the Room Key Inventory for all residence halls, houses, and apartments, including addressing issues with lost and broken keys.
