About The Position

LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Administrative Coordinator 3. To perform a wide variety of clerical duties that requires independent judgment to accomplish in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program. Requirements

  • Two years of experience in administrative services.
  • Pre-employment Drug testing and Criminal Background check are required.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain student clinical schedules, vacation and sick time records
  • Maintain records of student and faculty credentials
  • Maintains Typhon and clinical databases pertinent to the Nurse Anesthesia Program
  • Notify NAP Applicants being accepted to the program each year, and prepare, copy for all files, and mail Acceptance, Denial & Alternate Letters to Applicants of the Nurse Anesthesia Program
  • Establishes and maintains electronic files for identifying, recording and classifying stored data; extracts, assembles and merges stored information to create new documents.
  • Organizes, implements and maintains an appropriate filing system for active, inactive, and archive copies of Nurse Anesthesia Program materials.
  • Organizes and maintains up to date student files including care plans, clinical evaluations, mid-semester and end of semester evaluations, and other required documentation.
  • maintains files of documents electronically and in hard copy (if required) and labels or names files appropriately for easy retrieval by faculty or other personnel.
  • Assists in maintaining grant records.
  • Arranges training for NAP Students on the use of Electronical Medical Record at various clinical sites, including scheduling students and emailing the schedule to students.
  • Reserve classrooms for NAP courses and the testing center as needed.
  • Function as secretarial support to faculty of the School of Nursing
  • Uses independent judgment in screening telephone calls, accepting messages, and relaying information to faculty and staff.
  • Maintain files of routine correspondence involving complex, sensitive, and non-routine matters.
  • Responds appropriately and timely to inquiries verbally and in writing regarding the Nurse Anesthesia Program ("NAP").
  • Provides secretarial and transcribing of minutes for Academic Graduate Council and others as assigned.
