About The Position

This position is located in Baton Rouge, LA This is a temporary Job Appointment that may last up to 4 years only Office of Early Childhood Operations Job Focus Area At Louisiana's Child Care Assistance Program, our mission is To support all families in accessing high quality child care. The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) provides financial assistance to low-income families while they are working or attending school. We're looking for an Administrative Coordinator 2 to serve as the first point of contact at the agency, to assist our Louisiana families to apply for Child Care Assistance in our new Customer Portal - FamilyCentral. Candidates with the following experience are encouraged to apply: Knowledge of the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), CAFE, CAPS, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and/or Excel are preferred but not required.  AN IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSES THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES: Accepting Direction: The ability to accept and follow directions from those higher in the chain of command. Managing Time: The ability to control your time to increase effectiveness, efficiency, or productivity. One year of experience in administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience. Responsibilities

  • Accurately entering applicant information into a database or case management system. This includes managing both digital and physical files, ensuring all documents are organized and easily accessible.
  • Handling a large volume of communication, including phone calls and emails, from applicants, about the status of applications
  • Application Review: review each application and all supporting documents (like pay stubs, school schedules, and tax returns) to ensure they are complete. If something is missing, you'll need to notify the applicant.
  • Ensuring the authenticity and accuracy of all provided documents.
