About The Position

The Administrative Associate II position, located in Fayetteville/Cumberland County, supports operational functions that allow the CDSA of the Cape Fear to maximize agency revenues, maintain staff efficiency, and comply with state and federal requirements. The Children’s Developmental Services Agency (CDSA) of the Cape Fear serves a 9-county catchment area including the following counties: Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Cumberland, Duplin, New Hanover, Pender, Robeson, and Sampson.

Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft office programs, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel (knowledge of any other programs is a plus).
  • Good written and oral communication skills, including experience with memo writing, emails and contacting vendors, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time independently.
  • Ability to complete and prioritize tasks to meet agency deadlines.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of Health Information Management, Infant Toddler Program and medical terminology, FERPA and HIPAA, and Medicaid service record requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assists covering reception duties and providing administrative support
  • Provides general office support to include copying and faxing.
  • Assists answering a multiple line switchboard and routing all calls to the appropriate person.
  • Greets all clients and visitors when entering the building.
  • Opens and distribute all incoming mail.
  • Addresses and meter all outgoing mail correspondence.
  • Assists with filing appropriate information in local client charts.
  • Receives and sends correspondence via fax and mail.
  • Assists the billing department with duties such as billing and reimbursement support functions, including reviewing and entering Financial Eligibility Applications and billing forms into the electronic system
  • Submits electronic and manual claims to Medicaid and private insurance companies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
