About The Position

Quinnipiac University's School of Business invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant. This position will perform administrative assistance, staff assistance, and clerical duties necessary to support the office of the Dean of the School of Business and its departments and faculty in their committee assignments. Quinnipiac University is a private, coeducational institution located 90 minutes north of New York City and two hours from Boston. Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative, clerical, and office support in a professional or academic environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including document formatting, mail merge, and data maintenance.
  • Excellent written communication skills with proven attention to detail for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and formatting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and ensure timely completion of assignments in a fast‑paced office environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, staff, vendors, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for correspondence, maintaining data, reports, forms, mailings/Mail Merge. Edit work for accuracy, format, spelling, punctuation, and construction. Assure timely completion of all material.
  • Use Quinnipiac’s Colleague and Stellic systems and procurement policies fully and effectively, to process requisitions and expense reports, and student record keeping.
  • Ordering office supplies, maintain reception area and copy room.
  • Use University software to perform duties such as student record keeping, add/drops, and other routine matters. Assist with course registration, updating advisors, and other appropriate projects.
  • Review and route incoming mail for appropriate distribution and action.
  • Scheduling School of Business conference rooms.
  • Take messages, monitor School of Business Deans electronic mailbox, relay information, and answer questions within scope of knowledge and authority.
  • Provide registration support for graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Assist in the coordination of the G.A.M.E. Forum, including coordination of student volunteers, marketing materials, invitations, responses, meetings, facilities, setup and catering for all related events, working with vendors, and exhibitors, and creating reports.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the student services team, department chairs, faculty and club activities.
  • Supervise and coordinate schedules for student workers.
  • Provide backup coverage for other School of Business Administrative Assistants.
  • Responsible for organization and filing of all pertinent data so that it is readily accessible.
  • Support the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor society advisor(s) in setting up the annual induction event.
  • Other clerical duties as assigned.
