About The Position

Shee Atiká, Incorporated (SAI) is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team for an onsite position in Sitka, AK. Shee Atiká, Incorporated (SAI) an urban Alaska Native corporation established pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). We are seeking a highly organized Administrative Assistant to support our mission and help deliver meaningful value to our shareholders, people, partners and customers. Position Summary The Administrative Assistant will support daily operations within our Sitka office. This role includes answering calls, welcoming shareholders and visitors, coordinating board committee meetings; and assisting with marketing and communications tasks such as social media updates, newsletters, website content, and information gathering.

Requirements

  • Candidate must have an Associates degree or an additional 3+ years of experience
  • Candidate must have authorization to work for any US employer without any type of sponsorship
  • Candidate must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Candidate must have ability to effectively communicate in English (written and verbal)
  • Candidate must have 3+ years experience with the following: Microsoft office and general computer/software applications Outlook email and calendar functionality

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Alaska Native corporations or tribal organizations
  • Experience supporting Boards or Commissions
  • Background in social media management, graphic design, website maintenance, electronic newsletters, or digital communications

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct phone calls, and assist shareholders with courtesy and professionalism
  • Greet shareholders, visitors, board members and other stakeholders while delivering exceptional customer service
  • Schedule committee meetings using online platforms
  • Assist Committee Chairs with preparing agendas and uploading meeting documents
  • Host 3-4 committee meetings per month, which may occur after regular business hours (typically from 5-7PM; flexible scheduling is available on meeting days)
  • Record meeting attendance and take meeting minutes
  • Coordinate with Committee Chairs to submit recommendations to the CAO for upcoming board meetings
  • Track attendance for board, committee, and social functions for board fee reporting
  • Support committee dashboard updates
  • Assist with graphic design and Facebook event creation
  • Support email newsletter distribution via MailChimp
  • Update website and MySheeatiká portal, including postings, forms, bios, photos, and event information
  • Order business cards and support other branding needs
  • Gather shareholder information for news and content development
  • Coordinate with the newsletter printer
  • Generate contact lists and database extracts as needed
