About The Position

DSG is seeking an Administrative Assistant in our Plymouth, MN location. In this part time, hourly position, work is typically performed between the hours of 9am and 2pm (with some flexibility), Monday through Friday, but may vary on occasion according to business needs. As an Administrative Assistant, you will support the branch by performing a wide variety of administrative duties. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of general office work experience.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • A high regard for confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task.
  • An ability to develop and support a culture of teamwork.
  • The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work efficiently and to work effectively under pressure and time deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct calls in a courteous and professional manner
  • Greet customers/visitors, direct them to the appropriate person/area and/or respond to their inquiries
  • Balance cash drawer and prepare bank deposit daily
  • Support Inside Sales team with submissions
  • Operate office equipment
  • Keep office supplies stocked
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases as requested by the Branch Manager
  • Coordinate for branch events (i.e. hotel booking, food/catering orders, etc.)
  • Assist Branch Manager on other administrative duties and special projects
  • Code freight company charges
  • Manage Customer Returns
  • Work with Manufacturing Rep. Agencies
  • General Data entry
  • Serve as the Safety Coordinator for the building/branch
  • All other duties as assigned
