About The Position

The Housing Authority of the City of Shreveport (HACS) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily operations at a residential property. This role provides administrative and customer service support to ensure efficient office operations and high-quality service to residents and vendors.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of office procedures and administrative systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year of administrative experience

Responsibilities

  • Answer and route incoming phone calls
  • Schedule and track maintenance requests and work orders
  • Maintain organized filing systems (electronic and paper)
  • Process invoices and submit for payment
  • Order and manage office supplies
  • Communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and staff
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
