Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years experience as an administrative assistant or comparable qualifications
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • The Administrative Assistant is responsible for processing correspondence for the department and to schedule meetings for the physicians and other administrative staff.
  • The Administrative Assistant establishes a cooperative working relationship with staff, physicians and administration to facilitate timely and high quality completion of work.
  • Responsibilities may also include greeting, registering and scheduling patients in the computer system as well as assisting the surgical coordinator with the scheduling of surgical patients when needed.
