Requirements

  • Equivalent to high school diploma
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and effective communication.
  • Must be able to multitask and maintain a calm demeanor.
  • Must possess a sound knowledge of business systems and office procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • One-year advanced education and training in the business/secretarial/medical field or equivalent experience a plus.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of office experience, medical office experience preferred. Included in such experience must be typing 40 wpm and handling high volume telephones.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as unit receptionist, directs patients, visitors and others. This includes, but not limited to, heavy telephone intake, patient registration, booking appointments, obtaining client data, typing correspondence, managing phone & foot traffic, scanning documents into EHR.
  • This position participates fully in shared office tasks, including but not limited to: receiving visitors, scheduling appointments, reception duties and filing.
  • Provides back-up coverage for other support staff and assists with coverage for other sites as needed.
  • Communicates to all new clients: clinic processes, expectations, & responsibilities.
  • Provides estimates for services when appropriate.
