Maintain direct supervision, programming, health, and safety of children and staff when Director is not present. Familiarize self with personnel and policy handbook, parent book and health plan book, and NYSOCFS revised state regulations. Follow confidentiality policy at all times when it comes to children, parents/guardians, staff, and administration. Maintain Center’s daily attendance record of all children enrolled, on a daily basis. Collect and record group enrollment, daily health checks, and sign in/out sheets from Head Teachers on a weekly basis. Provide information and tours to prospective families. Keep track of all incoming calls inquiring about the availability of childcare at the Center. Listen to all parents/guardians of enrolled children when Director is not present. Makes self available to parents/guardians Attends staff meetings, as scheduled, attends continuing education/in-service trainings as directed by supervisor. Maintains professional, positive attitude with children, parents, staff, and supervisor. Complete monthly menu, to be included in monthly newsletter. Answer phones and takes messages. Be sure monthly paperwork is prepared for teachers; daily attendance sheets and daily notes. Provide copies of daily paperwork for teachers; group enrollment sheets, daily health checks, and sign in/out sheets and other forms necessary for children’s files. Creates memos Conducts and completes monthly safety check of Center and supplies. Maintains inventory of supplies; laundry soap, paper towels, tissues… Assist in direct supervision of any classroom area, should the need arise. Performs responsibilities/duties of Director when Director is not present. Performs any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
