About The Position

The Child Development & Autism Center is seeking an administrative summer intern to work within the administrative outpatient aspect of the Child Development and Autism Center. This intern’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Responsibilities Learn administrative duties involved with the running of an outpatient practice Work alongside with other Child Development and Autism Center administrative team to gain a better understanding of outpatient healthcare subspecialty office. Learn all aspects of office administrative task, procedures, and protocols Interact with patients, staff, and team members Manages phones, Call’s patients, complete Intake form, and able to multi-task Develop strong triage abilities Schedules/confirms appointments Enters demographics & patient information Verifies insurance coverage

Requirements

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited undergraduate or graduate program at a public or private College/University, and be in good academic standing at their institution
  • Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required)
  • Exceptional collaboration, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and must be able to understand and explain processes
  • Deadline-oriented and comfortable handling multiple initiatives simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Ideal candidates will be pursuing a degree in Management, Administration or a similarly related field
