As part of a fast-paced, dynamic merchant team, you will provide comprehensive administrative and analytical support to the Divisional Merchandise Manager and team. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or relevant coursework preferred
  • 2+ years of administrative experience, preferably in retail or buying office environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) with ability to create complex spreadsheets and presentations
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience coordinating projects, managing deadlines, & organizing data files
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative to work independently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with proprietary company information
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and new systems

Responsibilities

  • Process purchase orders, manage order entry and track shipments to ensure timely delivery
  • Coordinate with vendors on sample requests, pricing updates, and delivery schedules
  • Prepare and analyze sales reports, inventory reports, and performance metrics to support buying decisions
  • Coordinate and handle advertising materials with merchant team and marketing department
  • Maintain organized filing systems for vendor agreements, product specifications, and correspondence
  • Assist in managing department budgets, tracking expenses, and reconciling invoices
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, maintain departmental calendars, and prepare meeting materials
  • Support special projects including line reviews, assortment planning, and seasonal transitions
  • Utilize buying office systems and databases to generate reports and track key performance indicators
  • Serve as a liaison between the buying office, stores, and distribution centers to resolve issues and communicate updates
  • Provide backup support to other administrative team members as needed
