About The Position

Unit: Bridge Residential Electronic Health Record a. Files clinical documents in accordance with the policies set forth by Menninger HIMS and Corporate Compliance Review standards. b. Maintains confidential medical records which are complete and current. c. Mails copies of primary clinical documents to referral sources and/or potential treaters under the direction of clinical staff. d. Assures that signed release of information forms are in place before communicating verbally or in written form to outside sources. Program Administrative Support a. Screens and refers calls. b. Maintains adequate inventory of supplies. c. Monitors petty cash and reports discrepancies to program director/nurse manager. d. Compiles and distributes minutes of meetings in a timely manner, with the expectation that minutes are completed and disseminated within one week after the meeting date. e. Participates in orienting new staff to the unit. f. Accepts additional assignments willingly and enthusiastically when requested in order to promote the Menninger mission and goals. Clinical Schedules and Patient Appointments a. Schedules and records patient appointments in the queue ordered by the physician or other members of the treatment team. May schedule through message center and has effective communication with team members. b. Maintains a written record of appointment orders and a master schedule of each patient’s therapy appointments. c. Schedules offsite appointments for patients. Including printing orders and records. d. Notifies the patient of scheduled appointments and any changes in schedule. e. Arranges transportation via Menninger vans as necessary. f. Maintains clinicians’ appointment schedules and re-scheduled appointments when necessary. g. Informs staff of changes in the schedule when necessary. h. Maintains guidelines for transfers, admissions, and discharges.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 5 years of office or administrative experience
  • Ability to compose and prepare correspondence, prepare spreadsheets, prioritize tasks, maintain complex calendars, professional telephone communication, and understanding of advanced office procedures.
