About The Position

The Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in supporting Human Resource Services by providing high-level administrative, operational, and customer service support. Serving as a key point of contact for the HRS office, this position manages daily office functions, supports departmental initiatives, and assists with personnel and fiscal processes through Workday. The role requires strong judgment and discretion in handling confidential matters, interpreting policies and procedures, and responding to inquiries from university stakeholders, while ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for all clients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent AND one year of clerical, office or administrative experience OR Equivalent education/experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook software.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience providing customer service.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent editing/proofreading skills.
  • Experience working with confidential records.

  • Experience ordering office supplies and tracking inventory.
  • Human Resource experience in a higher education setting.
